Lawrence "Red" Fredrick Carstens

Funeral services for Lawrence “Red” Fredrick Carstens, 73, of Norfolk, will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue. Reverend Frank Brink will officiate. The visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the Home for Funerals Chapel, on Sunday. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

Red passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at his home in Norfolk.

Red was born November 17, 1946, in Norfolk to Lawrence Herman and Betty (Teadke) Carstens. He was raised in Pierce and the family eventually moved to Norfolk. He attended Norfolk Public Schools.  Red married Reta M. Fink, on September 3, 1967, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, in Norfolk. He then went to work for Clark Brothers and moved mobile homes. He had been operating a gasoline transport. He enjoyed detailing and driving his trucks. Red will be remembered for his big heart.

He is survived by his wife, Reta Carstens, of Norfolk, NE; son, Jared (Christina) Carstens, of Norfolk, NE; daughter, Audra Marr, of Norfolk, NE; brother, Randy (Sue) Carstens on Canton, WI; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
