Linda D. Barrett

Funeral services for Linda D. Barrett, age 76, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk. Reverend Christopher Asbury will officiate. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the chapel. 

The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home’s website.

Linda passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at University of Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.

Linda Dianne Barrett was born in Crofton, Nebraska to Gaylord and Violet (Hennings) Meyer.  She graduated from Norfolk High School. Linda married William “Bill” Siedschlag in 1965, at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk.  The couple was blessed with three children, Julie, Jeremy, and Jeff.  The couple later divorced.

Linda was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by daughter, Julie Siedschlag of Norfolk; son, Jeremy (Mandy) Siedschlag of Norfolk; son, Timothy DeWitt of Norfolk; grandchildren, Sheanne (Ben), Harley (Cody), Shauntae, Shiloh, Kiley, and Seth; five great grandchildren; sister, Lila Russet of Norfolk; and nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeff (2021); and brothers, Leslie, Lyle, and LaVern.
