Linda S. Butterfield

Private memorial services for Linda S. Butterfield, age 73, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be held Saturday morning, June 29, 2024, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk. Deacon Brian Hula will officiate. 

Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

Linda passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

On December 6, 1981, Linda married Gene Butterfield in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Linda served as a bookkeeper and secretary in the medical offices of Dr. Wullschleger for over 20 years and Dr. Fiedler for over 20 years.  

She enjoyed playing solitaire and doing word searches. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marge Rezac; brother-in-law, Ron Schlautman; and aunts, Josephine (George) Feiling and Irene Byers.  

She is survived by her husband, Gene; children, Sheila (Terry) Haas of Yankton and Shad Butterfield (Lynn Poppe) of Norfolk; grandchildren, Zack Haas, Paige Butterfield, Skye (Mitch) Dillion, Rayna Butterfield, Hunter Haas, and Garrett Haas; five great-grandchildren; sister, Terri Schlautman of Lincoln; brother-in-law, Tom Rezac; and nieces and nephews.
