Linda Diane (Jones) Dahlkoetter, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 20, 2025. Linda was born on April 29, 1946, in Hallock, Minnesota, to Glen and Anna Jones. She grew up in a large family, the third oldest of eight children.

A graduate of Norfolk High School, Linda built a career marked by hard work and dedication. She worked for many years at Andrews Van Lines and Dover Realty. She was a respected community leader, serving as head of the Norfolk Women’s Chamber, volunteering for United Way, and sitting on multiple boards and committees.

Linda married the love of her life, Gerald Walter Dahlkoetter, on November 29, 1964, and they shared 60 years of marriage. Together, they raised their daughter Roxann Fox and supported one another through the challenges of life. She was a mother not only to Roxann, but also to her grandchildren, Britney, Jarad, Jeremiah and Lyndsay, whom she helped raise during difficult times, ensuring they grew up surrounded by stability and unconditional love. She was also a devoted great-grandmother to Tallulah and Ariel.

Her life was full of traditions and a gift for bringing people together. She was known for her meticulous home, festive holiday décor, and always securing her rocking chair spot at parades. Linda cherished planning sisters’ weekends, creating photo albums, attending the Nebraska Rock and Roll Reunion, reading on her Kindle, cheering for Husker football, volunteering at the Norfolk Rescue Mission, and caring for her dog, Punky.

Linda is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerald; her daughter Roxann (George) Fox; grandchildren, Britney Dahlkoetter, Jarad Dahlkoetter, Jeremiah Fox (Ciara Wright), and Lyndsay Fox; great-granddaughters, Tallulah and Ariel; her siblings, Glenda (Tim) Hallberg, Millie (Ty) Norton, Glen (Darlene) Jones, and Rodney (Judy) Jones; sister-in-law, Dianne Jones; in-laws, Steve (Phyllis) Dahlkoetter, Jacque Trefry, Sandy (Jim) Parks, and Phyllis Dahlkoetter; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear family friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Anna Jones; her brothers, Orlin, Randy, and Bob; and several extended family members who greeted her in eternal rest.

The family extends gratitude to Faith Regional Health Services and the Norfolk Veteran’s Home for their compassionate care.
