Funeral services for Marcella M. “Sally” Stuthman, age 98, of Stanton, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2024, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Stanton. Nancy K. Jacobs, PMA, will officiate, with burial in the Pilger Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2024, at the church.

Sally died Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Marcella Mae was born August 18, 1925, in Altona, Nebraska to William and Margaret (Splittgerber) Roenfeldt. She attended District 13, District 35, and Stanton Schools. On September 29, 1946, Sally married Henry “Hank” Stuthman, Jr. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pilger. The couple farmed near Pilger and later moved into Pilger in 1987.
Sally was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pilger and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Stanton. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery. Sally made blankets for grandchildren. She loved making cookies and desserts for her family. Sally liked gardening and canning. She was famous for her dill and sweet pickles.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hank; brothers and sisters-in-law, Emil, Fritz (Delores), Walt, Orville and Lawrence (Caroline) Roenfeldt; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie (Wayne) Wendt, Mable (Alvin) Hartman, Hilda (Norman) Remm, Esther (Leonard) Sydow, Florence (Keith) Carson, LaVern (Norman) Lehman, Lois (Keith) Jech, and Dallas Anders; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Critser; nephews, Brian Severa, Leon Remm, Mike Sydow, Kevin Jech, and Dean Wendt; and niece, Donna Wendt.
She is survived by her children, Steven (Karen) Stuthman of Norfolk, Stuart (LeAnna) Stuthman of Columbus, and Gayle Stuthman of Omaha; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Anders and Clara (Dennis) Severa; sisters-in-law, Rita Roenfeldt and Janet Roenfeldt; and nieces and nephews.
