Margaret Timmerman

Funeral services for Margaret M. Timmerman, age 79, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue in Norfolk. Chaplain Gordon Braun will officiate, with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk.

Visitation with family will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.  The Service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.

Margaret died Monday, November 17, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk.

Margaret M. Timmerman was born January 8, 1946, in Jamestown, North Dakota to Ephraim and Violet (Jellen) Wohl. In 1963, Margaret married Allan Lippert in Yankton, South Dakota. The couple was blessed with one son, Mark. They later divorced.

In 1969, Margaret married Dareld Timmerman, Sr. at First United Methodist Church in Yankton, South Dakota. They were blessed with two children, Sheila and Dareld, Jr.  The couple later divorced.

Margaret enjoyed her music and dancing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  

She is survived by her children Mark (Stacey) Lippert of Mesa, AZ, Sheila (Jason) Boone of Fremont, NE, and Dareld Timmerman, Jr. (fiancée Yune Escalona) of York, NE; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; siblings, Joyce (Wally) Muhs of Norfolk, Jeanette Caster of Worthington, MN, and Eddie Wohl of Yankton; and nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sheila Wohl and Sharon Kamphaus; and brother-in-law, Vernon Caster.
