Funeral services for Marie Kruger, age 81, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024, at First United Methodist Church in Norfolk. Reverend Neil Gately will officiate, with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery in Plainview, Nebraska.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.

Marie died Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Marie Ann, daughter of Cecil and Elvina (Jensen) Hayes, was born November 3, 1942, in Casper, Wyoming. The Hayes family moved to Plainview, Nebraska, where Marie attended school.
On January 26, 1973, Marie married Victor Kruger in Norfolk.
Marie was a world champion horse shower and barrel racer. She also had a love for flowers and worked as a florist for 50 years in the Norfolk area, specializing in weddings. Marie was known for her beautiful silk flowers, which she shipped all over the United States, from California to New York, even making an appearance at the Cattlemen’s Ball.
Marie is survived by her husband, Victor; son, Ryan (Laura) Kruger; grandson, Spencer Thorson; and great-grandchildren, Kylee, Jemma, McKenna, and Peyton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Yvette.
