Marilee J. Reeves

Funeral services for Marilee J. Reeves, age 72, of Madison, Nebraska will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. Reverend Todd Kollbaum will officiate, with inurnment in Crown Hill Cemetery in Madison.

Visitation with family will be one hour prior to the service at the church

Resseguie Funeral Home in Madison is in charge of arrangements.

Marilee died Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Arbor Care Center-Countryside in Madison.

Marilee Jean Reeves was born February 16, 1952, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Lovell and Merna (Lewis) Reikofski. She graduated from Madison High School in 1970. 

On December 17, 1971, Marilee married Michael “Mick” Reeves at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. The couple was blessed with two children, Jeremy and Jeana.

Marilee enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. Her family favorites included homemade runzas, potato salad, and chili. The family enjoyed many great camping and travel trips around the United States. Marilee was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren feel truly blessed with the special relationship they enjoyed with their grandmother. 

She is survived by her mother, Merna; husband, Mick; son, Jeremy Reeves of Omaha; daughter, Jeana (Alejandro) Millan of Madison; grandchildren, Alexis Millan-Zobrist (Shawn Zobrist), Kaitlyn Millan (Christian Castillo), Andrew Millan, and Jenaya Millan; great grandchildren, Violet, Oliver, and Greyson; siblings, Joyce (Dick) Wolfgram of Madison, Richard (Kristy) Reikofski of Norfolk, and Kay (Dan) Albus of Madison; and nieces and nephews.

Marilee was preceded in death by her father, Lovell; grandparents, Ernest and Erma Barnes; and niece, Alyssa Albus.
