Mary Anne (Schutt) Schapmann was born on October 5, 1957, in Tilden, Nebraska, to Anne (Brown) Butterfield and Wayne Schutt. She graduated from Elkhorn Valley High School and lived a life shaped by change, curiosity, and a desire to follow her own path.
She was formerly married to Nick Schapmann, the father of her three daughters. Though her life took her in different directions, she remained a part of their lives in her own way. In later years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking trips together.
Mary loved dancing, music, movies, flowers, traveling, and horses. Her home was always a work in progress, keeping her busy with ongoing DIY projects and improvements.
She is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn (Craig) Gubbels of Pilger, Jamie (AJ) Brown of Norfolk, and Casey Schapmann of Papillion; her grandchildren, Kayle (Courtney) Schapmann, Kelsey Schapmann, Kyler Schapmann, and Noah Gubbels; her brother, Shawn (Linda) Schutt of Norfolk; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Shayne; and her sister-in-law, Jerene.
