Mary Ellen Crosser

Memorial services for Mary Ellen Crosser, age 81, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 11:00 a.m. November 5, 2025, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue in Norfolk. John Petersen will officiate, with burial at a later date in Inman Cemetery in Inman, Nebraska.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mary Ellen died Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Mid Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove, Nebraska.

Mary Ellen (Henry) Crosser, daughter of Earl and Delores (Phellps) Henry, was born June 29, 1944, at Norfolk, Nebraska. Mary Ellen graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School in 1962.

After high school, Mary Ellen was a Catholic Nun for ten years. From 1972 to 1973 she worked at Dudley’s Serval in Norfolk. For the next 38 years, Mary Ellen taught at Norfolk Catholic School, where she greatly enjoyed the many students that she encountered.

On August 10, 1984, Mary Ellen was united in marriage to Gary Duane Crosser at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk and the Catholic Daughters. Mary Ellen enjoyed going to the casino, going on car rides, and being around people.

Mary Ellen is survived by her husband, Gary Crosser of Norfolk.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Delores Henry; and her sister, Judy DeRosier.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
