Funeral services for Nicholas. K. Voichoskie, age 18, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2023, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk. Reverend Chris Asbury will officiate, with burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Home for Funerals in Norfolk is in charge of arrangements.
Nicholas died Thursday, November 9, 2023.
Nicholas Kayton Voichoskie, son of Troy J. Voichoskie and Jeanne M. Follette, was born April 19, 2005, in Norfolk. Nebraska. He attended Jefferson Elementary School and graduated from Norfolk High School with the class of 2023. While in high school, Nicholas was a member of Norfolk High School band, where he played the flute. He was currently attending Northeast Community College in Norfolk studying information technology. He was a member of the Community Band at Northeast, again playing the flute.
Nicholas lived most of his lifetime in Norfolk. He had worked at Raising Canes for over two years. He enjoyed being outdoors, going for walks, and laying on the trampoline watching the stars. Nicholas loved listening to music and attending concerts. He especially loved going hunting with his grandpa and spending time with family and friends.
Nicholas is survived by his girlfriend, Kalysa Gemaehlich of Norfolk; mother, Jeanne Follette of Lincoln; father, Troy Voichoskie of Norfolk; brother, Jon Follette of Norfolk; sister, Cheyenne Gibbions of Ames, Iowa; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Sandra Follette of Norfolk; paternal grandmother, Cindy Voichoskie of Norfolk; three nieces, Aaliyah, Raelyn, and Thea Follette; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Don Voichoskie; great-grandparents, Lorraine Hoopes, Robert and Mertyl Follette, and Donald Sr. and Dorothy May; and step-grandmother, Jo Hoopes.
