Nina died Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Stanton Health Center in Stanton, Nebraska.

Nina Marie Bahm, daughter of Otto and Ella Mae (Boucher) Bentzen, Jr., was born March 14, 1939, in Burke, South Dakota. Nina grew up in Naper, Nebraska and graduated from Naper High School in 1956. After high school she attended Norfolk Junior College where she met the love of her life, Jerome Bahm. They were united in marriage on June 1, 1958.

After their marriage, the couple moved to Denver where they both worked while Jerome completed his education and became a CPA. The couple then returned to Norfolk and eventually settled on an acreage in Stanton County. Nina worked as the bookkeeper at her husband’s CPA firm while also raising her children.

Nina was involved in the Girl Scouts, even serving on the Girl Scout Council. She also was involved in the PTA while her children were in school. She was a lifetime member of First Congregational Church and served various roles there throughout her life. Nina was an avid bowler and bowled on various leagues over many years, even traveling to national tournaments with her bowling friends. She loved bird watching, gardening, quilting, and was an excellent cook and baker. Everything Nina baked was made with love and in excess.

Nina is survived by her children, Robin Titterington of Norfolk, Amy (Bob) Sisson of Norfolk, and Amber Bahm (Scott Anderson) of Sedona, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Darnell Bahm; brother, Melvin (Carmen) Bentzen of Omaha; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome; son, Jay; sisters, Jackie Schademann and Judy Krupicka; and brother-in-law Kenneth Krupicka.
