Patricia A. (Sweigard) Shermer

Funeral Services for Patricia A. Shermer, age 80, of Pierce, will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue. Reverend Gordon Bruce will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Winside.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the chapel.  Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

She passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Premier Estates of Pierce.

Patricia was born January 26, 1940 in Pierce, Nebraska to George and Dorothy Sweigard.

On February 25, 1966, Patricia married Art Shermer in Pierce.  The couple was blessed with two children, Joni and Jeff.  For a time, the family resided in Creighton until the couple divorced in 1976.

Patricia enjoyed sewing and cooking.

She is survived by her daughter Joni Shermer and her boyfriend Danny, son Jeff and his wife Kristi, and grandchildren Antwon, Brock and Keli.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry.
