I remember Sister Paula when I was a 16-year-old patient at Holy Trinity Hospital in
Graceville in 1959 and again in 1960 and the loving care I received from her and the
other sisters on the hospital staff. My mother worked part-time in the hospital lab and often referred to the conversations she had with Sister Paula. When in 1968 my girlfriend Reinhild from Germany, whom I married in 1969, visited me and my family, my mother took us to the hospital to visit Sister Paula and the other sisters. We have a picture of that meeting in our private photo album. Sister Rita is also on that photo.
