Susan J. Jensen

A Celebration of Life for Susan J. Jensen, age 70, of Yankton, South Dakota will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Cornerstone Christian Church in Pierce, Nebraska. Pastor Josh Alloway will officiate.

She passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Premier Estates of Pierce.

Susan Jane Jensen was born April 17, 1954, in Osmond, Nebraska to Harlan L. and Freida M. (Hilkemann) Stevens. She graduated from Randolph High School in 1971, and earned an Associate’s Degree in Business from Northeast Community College. 

On May 29, 1971, Susan married Walter L. Jensen at the United Methodist Church in Randolph. 

Susan worked for the Farm Service Agency and the United Methodist Church.  Also, she served as a 4-H leader as her daughters were growing up.  Susan loved camping and spending time with grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Walter; daughters, April (Lonnie) Tucker of Pierce and Alicia (Jan) Busch of Norfolk; six grandchildren, Ashley (Brad) Hanzlik, Cody Voecks (Kenlee Goeden), Thomas (Andrea) Tucker, Levi (Kylie) Voecks, Elaina Dietz (Brandon Young), and Whitney Belina; three step- grandchildren, Krystal (Kyle) Sohl, Stephanie (Dustin) Maw, and Matthew Busch; 13 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Al (Karen) Stevens and Margery (Leland) Johnson; sister-in-law, Kay Stevens; and nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Adam; and brothers, Gerald Stevens and Delbert (Joyce) Stevens.
