Tammie Lou (Rawles) Albracht, born on April 2, 1966, in Gordon, Nebraska, passed away peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with ALS on October 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Tammie was 58 years old. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Tammie grew up in Gordon, Nebraska, where she spent her childhood riding horses with her sister Sandy. Their love for adventure and the open air was so great that they would even skip school to ride together, creating a bond that would last a lifetime. Those early years of freedom and fun shaped Tammie’s spirit, which was adventurous, full of life, and always a little mischievous.

In 1982, Tammie married Jeffery Deeder and together they resided in Gordon, Nebraska. After a few years, Tammie and Jeff relocated to Madison, Nebraska where they raised three children: Kortni, Kari, and Trae.

Tammie pursued her passion for helping others by becoming a CNA, MA, and EMT. In Madison, she found her calling as a caregiver and a leader at Countryside Home Assisted Living, where she worked for many years. Her coworkers became family, and Tammie was beloved by residents and their families for her compassion, kindness, and dedication. A devoted member of the Madison community, Tammie volunteered with the Madison Volunteer Fire and Rescue as an EMT and was always ready to step in and help. She went above and beyond in everything she did, always ensuring that those around her felt supported and cared for.

Tammie’s love for her family was the heartbeat of her life. She is survived by her three children, Kortni Deeder, Kari Oxtal (Anthony), and Trae Deeder (Andrea). Her grandchildren, Aaron Saldana, Giles Deeder, Austin Schulz, Lilyan Cone-Seier, Addilyn Cone, Mason Cone, Bryson Cone, Lola Oxtal, Luke Oxtal, Violet Oxtal, Sophia Deeder, Keegan Deeder, and Micah Deeder—were the light of her life.

Tammie loved making animal-shaped pancakes, baking lemon cookies, and going on family camping trips, creating special memories. Her grandkids adored her, always laughing at her jokes and enjoying her radiant smile. They often described her as "the best grandma ever."

Tammie had a deep connection to the outdoors. Merritt Dam was her second home, where she camped with family, fished, and found peace in nature. In 2007, Tammie married her beloved husband Kevin Albracht and together they shared in their passion for the outdoors, whether it was taking trips to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rallies on the motorcycle, camping, or enjoying their scenic rides through the countryside. Tammie and Kevin shared 17 wonderful years together, filled with adventure and love.

Her adventurous spirit, infectious humor, and unwavering kindness were known to all. Friends and family could always count on Tammie for a good laugh, a helping hand, and her signature phrase: “Never ask questions if a friend calls to bring a shovel.” Tammie’s love of crime mysteries, shooting, and her famous pretzel salad were just a few of the things that made her so unforgettable.

Tammie was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Weldon Rawles, Jeffery Deeder, and several other close family members, including Joe and Ruby Parks, Fred and Fanny Rawles, Patricia Jansen, Terri Rawles, and Brayton Hathorn.

She is survived by her siblings, Fred Rawles, Alvon Rawles, Ivin Rawles, and Sandy Hathorn (Maurice), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Tammie will be remembered most for her sense of humor, her love for her family, and her adventurous, kind-hearted spirit. Her proudest accomplishment in life was the family she raised and the joy she brought into the lives of her grandchildren.

Tammie’s light may have dimmed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her.
