Funeral Services for Timothy G. Ernst, age 78, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Reverend Michael Moreno will officiate, with interment in Roselawn Cemetery in Columbus, Nebraska.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue in Norfolk.

Tim passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Timothy Glenn Ernst was born February 5, 1948, in Columbus, Nebraska to Glenn and Lillian (Bender) Ernst. Tim was the only student in his class from first grade through eighth grade at District 5 school. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1966. Then, he completed a five-year program and graduated from the University of Nebraska Pharmacy School.
On November 11, 1975, Tim married Judy Nansel at St. Luke’s Congregational Church in Columbus, Nebraska. The couple were blessed with one son, Aaron.
Tim worked as a pharmacist in Columbus and Norfolk.
Tim loved spending time outside hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and snowmobiling. He enjoyed helping his father on the farm. Tim served the Norfolk community as president of the Norfolk Lions Club and volunteering with the Orphan Grain Train. He was a member of the Elkhorn Valley Corvette Club. Tim loved his time with family and friends and especially cherished his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Aaron (Sandy) Ernst of Lenexa, KS; grandchildren, Hunter and Hudson; sister, Mary (Tom) Stevens of Marquette; sister-in-law, Sharon Ernst of Columbus; nieces, Courtney (Rob) Wright and Sarah Ernst; nephews, Trent (Heather) Stevens and Ryan Ernst; great-nieces and nephews, Rhylan, Taryn, Tylee, Shia, and Lux; and special friend, Pam Henrickson of Norfolk.
Tim was preceded by his parents; wife, Judy (2014); and brother, Dr. Phillip Ernst (2023).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Norfolk Lions Club.
