Tony died Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Arbor Care Centers-Countryside in Madison, Nebraska.
Tony G. Bussey served his country in two branches of the United States military. He spent five years in the US Army and then switched to the US Air Force and served an additional four years. During the last four years of his service, Tony served in the Strategic Air Command as a B-52 bomb technician, both nuclear and conventional. He also served overseas during the Vietnam War during the early years of the conflict from 1964 to 1965, while he was in the Air Force. During those two years Tony was stationed at Anderson Air Force Base in Guam and Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa.
Tony managed Tom’s Music House in Norfolk for many years until the store closed. He then was employed at Apache Manufacturing until he retired.
Tony is survived by his children, Brian Bussey of Norfolk and Angela (Dan) Eggerling of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Ceara Eggerling, Seth (Morgan) Eggerling, Logan (Jayden) Bussey, and Lexie Bussey all of Norfolk; four great-grandchildren, with another one on the way; and two sisters, Betty Kline of Joshua Tree, California and Gloria McKamy of Tucson, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orin and Lillian (Huebner) Bussey; two sisters; and two wives, Betty Jane in 1991 and Dixie Ann in 2016.
