Rex Horn, my cousin, just told me of moms passing! He said he ran into you Janet at the gas station...So sorry to hear this..please know I would have been with you at the service.... I was able to visit with your mom at Scott’s funeral, and we had a nice time “catching up” as old neighbors and friends. She said...”Julie..I’m 95 and don’t take any pills.I feel good!” So many memories of our families (my parents..Marvin & Mildred Haas) getting together! Chuck & I own the folks home place and enjoy being out there..... I remember seeing your mom at Skagway many times...Sherry used to work there also.. May the love and hugs of family and friends help to ease your sorrow now and in the days to come! Gods blessings...

To Verla's family, sorry for your lose. I used to work with Verla at the Veterinary Clinic years ago. She was so nice and I would run into her at Skagway later in years. Will miss her greatly.

I got to know Verla when she lived in Grand Island & attended Danish Brotherhood #211 meetings....I am still a member of the lodge. We have not been able to have meetings due to Covid 19. She was a lovely lady & I always enjoyed her. How wonderful that she lived a nice long life!! My sympathy to her family!!

To the family of Verla Goodman: Please accept our condolences of Verlas passing. She was “old school “ as We used to say but a good worker and friend to us as she worked at our laundromat. I enjoyed writing her on her birthday and cards at Christmas and think of her as the martins fly in the spring. She will be missed.
