It's a sad time for both of our families and a loss for Madison County. My father, Orlo Rath who passed just 8 days ago, was also a Madison County Deputy Sheriff and worked with Bernie in the 1970's. May these two fine gentlemen who sought adventure and worked to keep peace here on earth continue to find adventure and peace in their afterlife. My mother, Maggie and all my brothers and sisters send our deepest sympathy to Bernie's family.
