Dennis J Indra

A celebration of life for Dennis J. Indra, 67, of Norfolk will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Home for Funerals, Norfolk. Private family burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Norfolk.  Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Home for Funerals, Norfolk, Nebraska.

            Dennis died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Faith Regional Health Services.

            Dennis John Indra was born March 13, 1950 in Norfolk, the youngest son of Arthur and Agnes (Herkdle) Indra Sr. He went to rural school and catholic grade school and graduated from Norfolk High School in 1968

            He attended the former Norfolk Junior College, Wayne State College and Northeast Community College, where he earned an Associates Degree in Diesel Technology in 1987.

            Dennis married Roseann Yosten July 16, 1977, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wayne.

            Thru the years Dennis ran his own repair shop. He was also employed at Beef America, Theisen Brothers Inc and Theisen Construction, from where he retired in August 2017 due to his health.

            Dennis loved the farm, nature, animals and people. He was always ready to help someone in need or to share one of his stories about life.

            Dennis is survived by his wife, Roseann, Norfolk, brother Donald and Karen Indra, Norfolk, sister-in-law Evelyn Indra, Norfolk; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends.

            Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Arthur Indra Jr., and a daughter in infancy.
