Wendy just sent me this, and surprisingly, I had recently thought about her and Wendy's mom. Your mother was so very fun, humorous, and truly lovely. I know you all have the greatest of memories of her and your dad. I feel so fortunate to have known them.

My condolences to the Shapiro family. I met Fran when I worked with the Northeast foundation, and I always appreciated her sense of humor and her willingness to help. She was one of a kind.

Beth and I want to send our condolences and warm remembrance of the early days when we and Fran and Eddie enjoyed many rehearsals and productions of the community theatre. I still say, "Those were the good old days!" It was fun to chat with Fran and her coffee clatch when I worked at the Downtown Coffee Shop. Your families, Fran and Eddie are in our prayers.

Sid and Gary, I am so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. She looked fabulous at her birthday celebration several weeks ago. I was able to visit her the last time I was in Norfolk about 8 years ago. I have such fond memories of our families get-togethers. Much simpler times. Your mom and dad were so well thought of and certainly loved by our family. May she rest in peace.

You have our deepest sympathy. Fran was a very gracious lady who did so much for
the community. We have been privileged to know her for fifty years!
Her husband, Eddie, was instrumental in bringing us to Norfolk to begin a medical
and surgical eye practice. They were outstanding citizens and individuals!
