I am so sorry for your loss. I am a recent graduate of UNK. I got to know Greg through my involvement with ERPPD 'S Energy camp and NRECA's Youth Tour. I spoke at and was present at several NREA annual meetings. Greg was very supportive and encouraged me to pursue my interest in the REA cooperative system. I will be leaving Nebraska soon to work full time with the NRECA in DC and I am extremely thankful for his words of encouragement. God bless.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Although I haven't kept up with Greg since college, he had a huge impact on my life. He was my RA my freshman year, and I am still amazed at the time he spent getting to know me, and help me adjust to school. He was one of a kind.

It is with much sadness that I extend my prayers to the Weidner family. Greg was one of my RAs when I worked at UNK and he was one of the brightest and optimistic individual you could ever meet. He was a sincere, caring person and he will be missed.

May I offer my sincere condolences. May your hearts find comfort in God's Word where it states: "He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord will wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8) May your loved one awaken to a world where there will be peace, no sickness (Isaiah 33:24), and no more troubles (Revelation 21:4) throughout eternity (Psalm 37:29). May your hearts find comfort and hope in God’s Word, family, friends and good memories at this time. My deepest sympathy to you.

We had only known Greg for three years and only visited with him twice a year during tax season; but immediately we considered him a GREAT friend! I am sure Greg touched many hearts and lives just as quickly as he touched ours. Although it is hard to imagine the world without him ... it is easy to imagine heaven rejoicing because he is there. Thinking of your family during this difficult time of sorrow and keeping you in our prayers.

Sorry to hear about Greg, Karen. I was just thinking about you guys the other day when I was in Omaha and driving by the area that you used to live at there (my brother lived in the same area). I still remember working with Greg at Madonna Rehab Hospital and how he always was great with all of us "ladies" that worked in the accounting department, even buying us each a rose one Valentine's Day.

I was saddened to hear of Greg's tragic accident. I was Greg's RA in Randall Hall when he first arrived at Kearney State College, and later worked with Greg when he became an RA there. I also knew Greg as a lifting partner when he was part of the Kearney State football team. Greg attended some of the Randall Hall reunions we held during college and beyond. I was privileged to call Greg a friend. Unfortunately, our lives took us in different directions and I have not been in contact with him in years. However, I still clearly see Greg's infectious smile, and recall his great work ethic, and remember how honest and trustworthy he was. Please know that his family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. Greg was one of the truly good ones and his death is a loss to us all.

I feel so sad for all of you who have been touched by this tragedy. I send sincerest sympathy. Our Heavenly Father is saddened to see His creation suffer like we do. He has promised that He will bring our loved ones back to life! (John 5:28,29) Very soon He will intervene and restore the Earth to paradise conditions, (Isaiah 11:6-9) doing away with wickedness, war, hunger, poverty, injustice, sickness, old age and even death, permanently. (Psalms 37:10,11) (Isaiah 33:24) (Rev 21:4). Righteous humankind will be able to live like He originally purposed, never facing tragedy again. These promises are for our comfort and to give us hope. I truly wish you both.
