Jon “Jay” Blevins
I only knew him as Jay… My Cousins husband.
A generous beautiful soul that will be missed by all that knew him..
We will miss all of you..
Praying you are with favorite family and Pets ,
being free from earthly pursuits and pains,
Hopefully enjoying your best/favorite moments and yes we know you may be fishing up there every day.
Bringing in the “big one” and releasing them all.
This is only one of the displays of Jay’s generous character.
In my time with Jay, fishing or at family events He was not judgmental by nature, he had great sense of humor, he said what needed to get said without offense. It may have had something to do with the way he would look you in the eyes.. you knew what he was saying was straight. From a good place.
He always took time with Seniors and children to insure they had a connection, to insure fun was had by all. He Enjoyed having spirits with family and discussing the happenings and the old days.
I am Happy that my cousin had found her soulmate, for her to know him in full range from being the quiet one by her side, her observing partner to the ornery and boisterous Playmate in their favorite company. He was all in one. One of the best men I have ever known.
We and Heaven gained an angel to watch over us. We are heartbroken, will miss your smile, your boisterous laugh, your quiet strength, all of you.
I am grateful to have known you, to call you friend and family.

Im sorry for your loss ,and for our loss here at the plant .He was one of the best plant managers we ever had .
I can still remember when jay came to me and asked if i would like a job here. Back when i was picking up cardboard from here .That was almost 20 years ago. He always called me Luucky and that nick name stayed with me tiill this day.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jay at leadership training this summer. His kindness, wisdom and humility was apparent, even in the short time I knew him. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Michael Foods mourns with you.

My sincere condolences to Jay's family. I was so saddened to hear when Jay got sick and even more-so when he passed. I, too, worked for Henningsen Foods, but in Omaha, He was a great guy and will be missed by many. No more suffering my friend, rest in peace. Hugs, Deanne Herweg
