Kathy L. McNerny, age 70, of Madison, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at Countryside Home in Madison. A private graveside service will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Bartley Cemetery in Bartley, Nebraska. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
Kathy was born February 2, 1950 in Saint Francis, Kansas to Carl Douglas and Patricia May (Doak) Hanes.
Kathy enjoyed music, drawing and coloring in her sketch books. She always enjoyed fishing with her late husband, Doug.
She is survived by her brothers Wade Hanes of Stratton, Michael Norton of North Platte, John Norton of McCook, John Henry “Buttons” Price of Washington, and David Norton of Holdrege, sisters Starla Norton of McKinley, IN, Celia Traveno of Grand Island, and Connie Meyer of Guide Rock and adoptive daughter and dear friend Janice Hledik of Norfolk.
Kathy was preceded in death by her two husbands Garry Wallace and Douglas McNerny, daughter Cindy Hanes, parents Carl Hanes and Patricia Norton, grandparents George and Mary Hanes and Perry and Arietta Doak, and infant sister of 11 months, Arlis Hanes.
