A celebration of life for Larry W. Shaw, 67, Norfolk, will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at Northern Heights Baptist Church. Pastor Gene Martinez will officiate. Visitation will be an hour prior at the church. Military honors rendered by the Nebraska National Guard Honor Guard, American Legion Post 16 and VFW Post 1644.
He passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Ridgecrest Rehabilitation Center in Omaha.
Larry William was born on August 20, 1951 to James and Nancy (Lampher) Shaw in Auburn, New York. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving for over 9 years. He later worked as a travel planner for Mt. Snow Ski Resort for many years.
He met the love of his life, Mary (Hand) Moler, online and took a leap of faith and moved to Norfolk to be with her. They were married on October 31, 2010. Larry and Mary cherished their time together even though it was much too short.
He is survived by his wife, step children Daniel Moler, Jr., Mollie Moler, and David Moler, step grandchildren Daniel, Diego, and Rylie, brothers Gary and Donald, and sisters Lynn and Debbie.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, step granddaughter Dakota, and brother Steve.
