Mildred I. (Diederichs) Ruegge

Funeral Services for Mildred I. Ruegge, 99, Norfolk, will be 10:00 a.m., October 18, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church.  Burial will be in New Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Home for Funerals, 1203 W. Norfolk Avenue.

She passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 the Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk.

Mildred Irene was born December 18, 1918 to her parents Henry and Minnie (Schmiedeberg) Diederichs in Norfolk.  She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church.  Mildred attended school at Christ Lutheran School and graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 1937. 

She married Elmer Ruegge on August 10, 1959 in Pender, NE.  Mildred worked at the Norfolk Daily News, the Morton Salt Company in Salt Lake City, UT, 27 years at Ballantyne Furniture, and 6 ½ years for the Norfolk Public Schools.  She retired in May of 1980.

Mildred is survived by nieces, nephews, and adopted families of Richard and Caroline Soukup and Dick and Judy Clyde.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
